Ramen Noodles with Sardines

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter or vegetable oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1 small tomato, sliced
  • 1 can sardines
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 1 pack ramen noodles, any flavor
  • 1-2 pinch salt and ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven over medium-high heat.
  • Add the butter or vegetable oil, then melt.
  • Toss in onions and saute until translucent.
  • Add the garlic and stir for a minute.
  • Then add the tomatoes. Stir for 3 minutes.
  • Pour 1 can of sardines. Stir 2-3 minutes. Then, cover.
  • Cook for 3 minutes, then remove the cover.
  • Add the warm water and the package of ramen noodles including the seasonings. Mix to submerge the noodles, then cover. Bring to a boil.
  • Remove the cover and break up the noodles.
  • Cover again until it is cooked.
  • Before removing the cooked ramen from the heat, taste it first. Add salt and ground black pepper to taste if necessary, then mix thoroughly.
  • Serve and enjoy.
