Buttered Mussel Meat in Cream of Mushroom Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 8 oz mussel meat (tahong)
  • 2 small potatoes, cubed
  • 1 small green pepper, chopped
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 can cream of mushroom, any flavor
  • salt, to taste
  • ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Melt half of the butter in a medium heat.
  • Add the mussel meat and lightly brown each side. Then transfer the mussels into a bowl.
  • In the same pan or skillet, melt the remaining half-stick butter.
  • Add the potatoes, green bell peppers, onions, garlic, and soy sauce. Stir very well and cover.
  • Cook for about 7-10 minutes or until the potatoes are almost done.
  • Remove the cover, stir, and add the cream of mushroom.
  • Sprinkle some salt and ground black pepper.
  • Put the mussels back in the pan. Stir very well.
  • Cover and cook for an additional 3 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!
