Ampalaya with Tuna Caldereta Recipe

Ingredients

amplaya (bitter gourd), chopped or slices

tuna caldereta

soy sauce

unsalted butter

onion, chopped

garlic, minced

green bell pepper

tomato, chopped
sprinkle
paprika, to taste
sprinkle
parsley flakes, optional
sprinkle
chili powder
Instructions
In a skillet or non-stick pan, melt the butter over medium-high heat.
Saute the onion and garlic for a minute or two.
Add the green bell pepper, tomatoes, paprika, parsley, chili powder, and soy sauce. Then, stir for a minute or two.
Then add the ampalaya (bitter gourd/melon) then stir well.
Cook covered for 5 minutes.
Remove the cover, then stir, and add the Tuna Caldereta. Mix well and cover.
Simmer for 5-10 minutes or until the ampalaya is tender.
Remove the cover and serve over cooked white rice.
